Coolest bike!
We got this balance bike for Guy a few weeks ago, and he loves it! He is starting to balance really well, is not scared of hills, and LOVES bumps!!! He will go up and down this bump for hours. Up the bump...then down the bump. Up. Down. Over and over (not that this gets annoying for me).
You have to remember that he is only 20 months. He is going to be a thrill seeker :)
Father's Day 09'
My kids have the BEST dad!
I let the kids each make something special for their dad.
Guy finger painted a beautiful picture.
(Yes those are tears in his eyes...Did I mention Josh is wonderfully sensitive?!)
Sailor made him a "You and Me" book.
This was very cute. She took a whole week drawing her dad's favorite this vs. her favorite thing. Like 'My favorite animal is a giraffe. Your favorite animal is a tiger.' Or my favorite, 'My favorite food is Mac and Cheese. Your favorite food is spinach dip and hot sauce.'
Preslee made a Duct tape stadium seat to use at all of her softball games.
Josh used it this weekend and said it was surprisingly comfortable!
Bailee made "The Jensen's Rock Family".
She had a lot of fun with this.
Josh is always willing to drop whatever he is doing and really play with the kids. He wrestles with them, dances with them, lets them do his hair, plays catch with them, draws with them, reads to them, sings to them, and teases them like crazy! I am lucky to be married to such a "big kid".

Rat FInk Reunion 2009!
We went to Manti on the first weekend of June for the annual Rat Fink Reunion!

Josh's family came from Colorado, and my brothers came down too. It was a lot of fun packed into a weekend. We mostly just played and played. There was a car show, and a dinky parade (those are the BEST!!) "Big Daddy" Roth's house had all of the pinstriper's there to entertain Josh and Sailor (she loves that kind of stuff as much as he does!).
We loved seeing everyone!

The MEANEST biker gang in town!!!

"Say Cheese" Cute cousins Guy and Dyson.

Bailee and Dessie.

Bailee and cousin Sasha.

Josh and Guy 4 wheelin' (Guy was terrified!!!)

Riding Elvis with Grandpa Davis.

NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!!!

For Bailee's birthday, we got her tickets to see her favorite person, Gwen Steffani!!!
This is her with her "Gwen Steffani" hair before the concert.
We took her to dinner, her choice, at the Red Iguana.
Then to the show. The line up was, The Sounds, Paramore, and No Doubt. Bailee sang all of the Paramore and No Doubt songs. I really didn't think that she knew them all, it surprised me! I guess that I am okay with the kids getting a little bit older. Concerts are more fun than Elmo.

I do have to remember that she will only want us there with her for a few more years...then we will be embarrassing :)
Her after the show. She had a blast!!!
Just a kid
Guy had a week of head trauma.
He started out by falling off of our bed on onto his forehead. It was at 6:30 a.m. and I picked him up and he said, through screams, "hit my head" I said "I know honey, you hit your head, now go to back to sleep." He did and he woke again at around 8:00, his usual wake-up time. I brought him upstairs and when we got in the light, I felt like the worst mom!!! His forehead was a HUGE purple goose egg. I most definitely shouldn't have let him go back to sleep after the fall.

3 days later, all of the kids were playing outside when Libbie, my niece, comes running in and right out the front door. Bailee comes in next, and runs out the front door, then back in and screams, "Guy is bleeding!!!" Josh looks out the back door and then goes out the front door too (he doesn't do good with blood and he claims he was getting the salmon off of the BBQ because he thought we were heading to the ER and he didn't want it to burn). I run out to find Preslee carrying Guy, both covered in blood and both sobbing. Head wounds bleed. They really bleed!!! Preslee had jumped out of the swing and it went back and hit Guy on the other side of the forehead. There was an inch long gash. It was again, very swollen, and looked like it needed stitches. Luckily we had Josh's grandma in town and she said that if we just got the swelling down and butterfly bandaged it, it should close. We did as she said, and it worked. The next morning, it was closed and looked as if it was just a small scratch.

The final crash was, again, 3 days after the second. It was lunch time and I was letting Guy and Sailor have a picnic in the backyard. I spread the blanket and went in the house to grab their plates, when I heard a BIG crash and a scream from Guy. I guess that Guy decided to climb a ladder that was on the side of the house and it fell on him. His arm was really bruised, and his nose was bright red, but I thought that was it. Come the next morning, he had 2 black eyes.

Bruised and battered, I made a comment that he was "accident prone" Josh's grandma corrected me and said, "He is just a kid".

Graduation
Kindergarten. Already. I am old.

I really can't believe that Sailor had her preschool graduation. She seems old enough, but in my head, she is still my baby. Her program was way too cute! Her teacher, amazingly, gets all of the kids to sing a few solos, as well as a bunch of other songs. Sailor was Sleeping Beauty and she beautifully belted out the song that starts like "I know you. I walked with you once upon a time." She also had a solo in Winnie the Pooh, and some song that was about Lady Liberty. She also slow danced with a boy named Ben. It was fun.
